Governance

Edgewood has congregational polity. Congregation members make up the leadership of the church and vote to decide policy, elect leaders and pass the budget. Pastors are called by a vote of the congregation. Edgewood has a Constitution, Bylaws and Standing Rules. An Annual Meeting is held each year to do the major business of the church and occasional called Congregational Meetings also gather the congregation for big decisions.
 
The church Council represents the congregation between annual meetings and is made of elected officers and at-large representatives. Edgewood has six designated  Teams that work on aspects of church life and leadership: Worship, Building and Grounds, Finance, Outreach Mission, Education, Congregational Life.
