Adult

Faith Formation for adults happens year round in classrooms over Bible study, in the chapel during a meditative service, in the woods on a group hike, and in soup kitchens feeding our neighbors. At Edgewood we believed that our faith is nurtured by study, relationships, experiential learning, and service.  For more information about current and upcoming opportunities, check out our weekly newsletter. Some of our ongoing opportunities include:

BIBLE STUDY

Edgewood has two weekly Bible Study classes. Bible studies are particularly good for folks who are newer to the Bible, come from a different faith tradition, or who have questions about how to read the Bible through the lens of progressive Christianity. In addition to our regular classes, there are periodic focused Bible study opportunities throughout the year on specific themes.

Welcoming Wednesday Dinner & Program

Each Wednesday evening from September to May, Edgewood hosts a community meal from 5:45pm -7:00pm for all ages. We rotate between catered dinner, potluck, or volunteer cooks. If it is your first time coming, just show up! You are our guest: there is no need to bring anything other than yourself.

After dinner there is a faith enrichment programming geared towards adults and youth. The topics range from guest speakers engaged in justice and peace work in our wider community to explorations and discussions from our faith. These weekly programs are always open to the public, do not require signing up in advance, and are free of cost.

SMALL GROUP MINISTRIES

Throughout the year there are various opportunities to participate in a small group ministry for several weeks or several months at a time. This is a chance to get to know a small group of people more intimately and to dive deep into a specific topic.
