Welcoming Wednesday Dinner & Program

Each Wednesday evening from Setpember to May, Edgewood hosts a community meal from 5:45pm -7:00pm for all ages. We rotate between catered dinner, potluck, or volunteer cooks. If it is your first time coming, just show up! You are our guest: there is no need to bring anything other than yourself.

After dinner there is a faith enrichment programming geared towards adults and youth. The topics range from guest speakers engaged in justice and peace work in our wider community to explorations and discussions from our faith. These weekly programs are always open to the public, do not require signing up in advance, and are free of cost.

All Church Cookout

Every September we kickoff the program year with a special all-ages worship service followed by a giant cookout. We have a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals, and a cake walk for the kids. Adults eat together at tables under the trees, and often join the games with the kids! We cookout hot dogs and veggie dogs, and everyone brings their favorite side dish to share. This is a great event to get to know the fun spirit of Edgewood.

Edgewood Camp

For over 30 years, Edgewood members and friends have headed to camp together one week (or weekend) each summer. There are games, adventure, and lessons for kids of all ages while adults gather together for workshops and discussion groups. We come back together for swimming, hiking, campfires, and even more fun games in the evening. This is a tradition where friendship are made, God is experienced through nature, and all return home rejuvenated.

Cabin Fever University

Every other January, class is in session at Edgewood’s Cabin Fever University! Sunday afternoons become hubs of learning and enrichment with workshops, movies, and activities for all ages. Topics range from social justice concerns and ukulele lessons, to meditation and jigsaw puzzles. It’s the perfect solution to the winter blues and a great way to get involved in the community.

Thanksgiving Day Brunch

Each Thanksgiving we open our doors to a big community potluck meal. It’s a great tradition for those who are far away from family, for those who struggle with family, or for those who just want to be surrounded by love and hope on this holiday. The meal is always free and all are always welcome.

Christmas Variety Show Extravaganza

It’s a holiday talent show that welcomes participants and performers whether or not you have a talent! Our Variety Show is silly, sentimental, experimental, and always leaves you laughing. This is a great tradition for Edgewood friends and members of all ages who need an evening of merriment during the Christmas season.
