Amanda has been attending Edgewood since 2013 with her wife Gina, and their two children.
Why Edgewood?
The first time I visited Edgewood was during a Women In the Arts Festival. For years I attended this event and other events hosted at the church. I had been exploring many churches for years, trying to find the right fit! My mind kept going back to Edgewood, so I finally gave it a try. From the first service we attended, we were welcomed as if we had always been there. Everyone was welcoming, in such an authentic way. I had struggled to find a church home that had everything I was looking for… but Edgewood did just that! There is tradition paired with progressive ideas, good people with shared values, and many opportunities to get involved in the church, local and global community!
What do you love about our church?
I love the people, the values, the opportunities to get involved, not only in the church, but in the community. I love the sermons, the children’s programming, the music and my daughter would say, the snacks in the social hall after church!
Edgewood is a safe, affirming, loving community. Each time we go, I know with certainty that when we walk in the door, we will be welcomed. I know that the messages we hear will be ones of love and kindness.

I’m thrilled that my children will grow up around so many people with shared faith, values and a dedication to many important social issues, such as racial and environmental justice!
